[GreenKeys] Bell Ringers and a "Whippersnapper" question

Hello Greenkeyers

After reading Ralph Irish's "Historic Question" post and the replies that
followed it, I am convinced of one thing:
I need to read up on the history of RTTY operation as he refers to it. This
can come out of RTTY Journal archives,
and best of all, right here in this forum. I am indebted to many here for
what I know now of Teletypes and RTTY.

As I go on in this hobby, and in Amateur Radio, I would like to set up a
good mechanical RTTY section to my shack
featuring models 15 and 28 equipment that I can call into service- in the
very least to offer anyone wishing to QSO
with me the opportunity for a genuine "old school" RTTY contact. I am also
working toward becoming a part of the i-Telex
movement, and if anything else besides ITTY starts up I'll do that too,
just to hear my machines running!

Even with fldigi and MMTTY, and other digital mode offerings, and the ready
availability of "glass" Teletypes to use them
on, I would like to maintain the pioneering spirit of RTTY. If any others
on here operate mechanical, I would like to contact
you in the same way. But I will not be a "Bell Ringer". Unless challenged,
and my honor is at stake. Just kidding...

My "whippersnapper" question? Where can I find an archive or archived
copies of the RTTY Journal? Thanks, fellas!

A future Teletype/RTTY guru,

Mark KE5LIB
