The original question was not received and has been trimmed from

Assuming someone was asking about wire service bell codes there is
a little on UPI codes at:

AP had a similar code. The highest priority story was a "flash". A
flash was essentially an alert on a very important story, only a line or
so, and a warning to stand by for more detail. The UP used ten bells,
AP was twelve. A flash was not to be used more than a couple of times a
year. The assassination of a president or declaration of war was a
flash grade story. The AP has a list of flashes over the last few
decades on its web site.
UP used four bells for an urgent story and five bells for a
"bulletin".
A google search will produce much more.
