[GreenKeys] calibrating speed on a 14 and 15

I use a strobe that some one built for me. It uses a 555 timer and power FET
to flash a small LED torch. It has a pot that allows the frequency to be
varied.

Its very effective at aligning machines to each other. When I want to check
speed I use the counter from here:-

http://techmind.org/audio/index.html

and connect the output from the strobe to the line-in on my PC via a small
capacitor.

(p.s. google for "NE555 LED Strobe" for more options)
