[GreenKeys] calibrating speed on a 14 and 15

Could not some other method than a tuning fork be used? I am not
at all familiar with the calibration procedure but it seems to me that
an audio oscillator and counter could be used, or if its visual could be
used to trigger a stroboscope. This is providing the correct frequency
is known which I suppose it is.
