Looks more like ancient Akkadian than Latin. Did Teletype ever make a
cuneiform type cylinder?
Just make sure you didn't buy the teletype machine or any parts from
Ea-nasir... (I wanted fine quality copper, not this not good quality
copper!)
Cheers,
Christian
P.S. And for those that *don't* know Akkadian, this is a translation
of the very first line of this e-mail: "Speak to David; thus says
Christian. May Shamash and Marduk keep you well. Concerning what you
wrote me:"
P.P.S. "Ea-nasir" is a copper merchant who lived in Mesopotamia in the
ancient city of Ur back around 1750 BCE. He was also apparently a bit
of a scammer, considering there are apparently several tablets of
complaints about him. He is immortalized as the person to whom the
first ever customer complaint (we have on record) was sent to. Enjoy:
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complaint_tablet_to_Ea-nasir> Too bad
you can't send a clay tablet to the customer complaints department of
your local horrible quality ISP or cable provider.
