My TT-179 reperforator works fine after cold start.

My TT-117 presently requires the following procedure to prevent a mistype at cold start;
1. Turn on main power (switch on back of TT-179)
2. Operate the break switch on printer, momentary
3. Press and release the LTRS key
4. Turn on Printer motor.

With  this procedure the TT-117 printer works fine right after cold start, no mistypes.

I think there is some gummed old lubricant on the selector magnet blade or the cam stop. When I first restored my AN/FGC-25 set in 1978 both units worked fine at cold start. The manual TM11-2246 is essential for complete repair/rebuild of AN/FGC-25, which I did at that time. I have the manual, but I have never seen it on internet. It doesn't show up on searches.
