So I guess my correspondent is speaking as a user of the KL machines
rather than as one trained to repair them.  And the ones he encountered
were suffering from the same lack of maintenance as mine.  No doubt it's
something sticky in the selector that has to warm up before it quits
sticking.  I just poured in a lot of oil, and have not tried to use the
machine for months.
