There was an AN/FGC-52 as well as the 52X. The 52 was specifically setup to
work with crypto stepping equipment if I remember correctly. The "X" was
just signified series governed motors. Without the "X" signified
synchronous motors.
Weigh in Jim Plummer and Rice if my gray matter is failing me!

Believe that you mean AN/FGC-25 vice 52. Includes 25X, 26 and 57.
The TM base number is TM 11-5815-244-nn. That I know of, there is a -12,
-30 (MWO's only), -35 and -35P. SIG 7 & 8 AN/FGC-25 (which was the parts
manual in the 1950's) was replaced 27 APR 1964 by TM 11-5815-244-35P (which
I only have Change 1 to). I have an extra original TM 11-5815-244-35. And
could probably reprint TM 11-5815-244-12.
