Now I just need to find some 7/8 tape to play with and try.. seems the
edge printing would be clearer.

The pdf manual for the TT-345 (also TT-107 & TT-700 series) that I have
is "ARMY TM 11-5815-257-12" It is also "AIR FORCE TO 31W4-2FG-1381". It
is dated "January 1976", but includes C1, 30 August 1983. So the AF was
apparently using them, too. Maybe AF sent their units to Signal Corp.
for Depot repair??

(the TT-700 series was modified for low-level signalling: +/- 6VDC, <
100uA.).

All Kleinschmidt Laboratories tape equipment used 7/8" tape and the
reperforators printed on the wide border on the bottom edge of the tape.
All the KLI tape readers could read both 7/8" & 11/16" tape, but the
TT-345/346 reperforators are unique (I think) in that they could handle
both 11/16" & 7/8" tape. For 7/8" tape, they would print on the wide
border (just like on TT-76), but for 11/16" tape, you moved a lever to
pull the type wheel in slightly and it would print over the feed holes.

Have fun,
