[GreenKeys] Teletype model 33

The TTY to RS-232 side of things is the easy-peasy part; it's getting a
functional ASR33 shipped from USA to anywhere in eastern Europe. As
previously noted, they weigh like mad and can easily self-injure unless
great care is taken in the packing process. IMO, you're best off shipping
the plastic hood and components in a separate box, lest the mass of the
machine come to bear on them in transit..

But didn't the Soviet Bloc manufacture functional clones of the US-made TTY
machines? If not, what did they use to keep up with western tech in the
1960s - 1970s? I'd think the OP would have a much better shot at one of
those machines, versus the trials and travails of procuring a unit from the
US or even western Europe.

Is there some specific reason the OP +must have+ a TTY ASR33? Is this for a
collection / display? How deep are the pockets?
