Ed,

Make sure the keyboard is in the pan or in a kybd jig. Remove the plastic cover. Remove the C rings and then pry the frame slightly to the right and lift the cover slightly. Then the same on the left side and remove the cover.

If you dont have the keyboard bolted down when you remove the C rings, it will spring apart on both ends and then you will have a very tricky job to get it back together.

After the cover is off the kybd, remove the Break and Repeat keys as they will easily fall out when you start work on removing the rest of the keytops.

One at a time depress the keytop you want to remove and it will lift out of the slot on the hooked side. When you are ready to re-install the key it should go right back in. Then reset the kybd manually (push down on the reset lever) and move on to the next keytop. Depress the key and it will easily remove. The Space bar, Shift and Ctrl are a little trickier, but you will figure them out.

See pics of kybd jig and kybd reset lever.

Go slow and have fun.
