Jim - or perhaps make  some sort of slip on cover  for the glue  stick

Or an alternative way to gum the tape  down.  I was thinking of filling the
tape moistener with mucilage, but  that would just gum jup the felt after
a short time.  One could pass  the tape over a glue stick almost hidden.
Other  ideas?
