Hi Richard:

I think I have a tape-wetter-thingy around here somewhere I can send you
-- contact me off-list.

The WU 2B tape is 5/16" IIRC. I have a 2B as well. I also have a roll of
gummed tape that has, as other folks mentioned, absorbed enough humidity
to become a frisbee.

I am confused at your attached pictures -- the first B&W one looks to be a
2B tape printer, but the second color pic is clearly an M14 that
prints/punches on 11/16" tape.

I realize the parts and accessories listed below may be hard to find but
the recent thread about the Model 11 rare birds prompts me write with our
needs.

As some may know, we recently received a donation of a long desired
Western Union (Teletype) 2B strip printer from a generous member of this list.
The intent is that it will be exhibited as a stand in for the 2B that we see
in the 1946 photo of the KPH operating room.

Please see the attached photos.

The machine appears to be in excellent, original shape. But we are looking
for the following items:

Tape reel cover

3/8" paper tape (gummed preferred but non-gummed would be great too)

Moistener/cutter. I'm not sure what the real name for this tool is but it
was used by the operators to moisten the tape for sticking to the radiogram
blank and cutting the tape to the proper length.

All leads to any of these admittedly scarce items will be gratefully
received.

Regards,

RD
