FWIW, I shake like a leaf.. yet I still manage to execute some fairly
intricate soldering.

At least for me, it all comes down to setting things up to brace your hands
/ arms / elbows, and getting in & out asap. Choking-up on the solder pencil
helps too, but you will prob. need some kind of hot-glove to do it. And as
odd as it sounds, the glove also has a way of helping to damp-out the
tremors.

A couple stiff cocktails doesn't do a bit of harm, either - at least so far
as steadying the hands, goes. But that's not an option for all of us..
