[GreenKeys] Kleinschmidt 3A motor installation

OK, in all seriousness, I have a Kleinschmidt 3A Gumming Station (type bar
tape printer) that I need to install a new motor in. The question is about
gear lash. I have checked the digital copies from Nick and Don House but I
can't find anything. Is there an unspoken standard? Close as they can be
without binding?

The machine itself is interesting. The housing started out black and it's
overpainted green. The flip down table is intact with all of it's little
clips and I have the water bottle and finger cut off (thimble with the
blade) that I presume goes with it. Time to get it running again.
