Dick I would need a closer photo...one thing that the 2b dies not like is
3/8 tape WU used narrower a bit than 3/8!

One other thing look inside and out to see if
there is western union tags or? not.

I see you also have one of the Morse tape perforators ad
there too! Neat!

Yeah, we have a good collection of "Kleins", as they were invariably called,
and also the Boehme keying heads that read the Wheatstone two level tapes
they produce. We actually use these on the air at KPH.

As to the alleged 2B, it's long gone so we can't examine the unit itself.
What I can do is check back to the large photo print we scanned for the Web
site photo and look for more clues. But I'm advised from those who know
that it's impossible or nearly so to confirm the unit as a 2B from external
clues (except maybe for tape width). If that's not true please let me know
what I should look for in the photo.

Dick One of the other readers here at greenkeys has the reader but not a
puncher and needs sample tape to demo it with... His name is Lester
and email is m0ycm at veenstras.com - I have cc'ed him on this message too.

Dick, We have a puncher at SMECC but it needs to be gotten to and new
cords and clean lubed adj... so was not able to supply something quickly
perhaps you could from there?

We would also like to find a Boehme keying head to pair up with our
puncher! Being able to show the two of them and how they worked is neat!

OK 2B or not 2B... that is the question... <grin!> Yes there are some
keyboard differences if we can get a closer external photo and happy to
help ID it..

Thanks Ed#
