I take it back. Having skimmed the manual, it seems that the Eico design
may in fact have a hard-wired light sequence..

Rather than just six identical neon / RC relaxation oscs. (6 pcs. each of
R, C and NE-2) it has 3 additional caps. It looks like the caps are wired
such that the discharge of one circuit prompts the discharge a second
connected circuit, and so on down the line..?

Now I can't quite tell for sure if it's going to produce an endlessly
repeating pattern, but I don't see any reason to wire it in this fashion
unless that was the goal.
