[GreenKeys] Lorenz tape printer (befuddled BBC article)

I saw that. Someone posted it to my Facebook page. Sure, code, uh huh, 5
level, governed dc motor, yadda yadda.

Can anyone explain why Lorenz used their own motors instead of GE? Couldn't
get a contract agreement or...?
