[GreenKeys] Teletype Model 43 ribbon

When the ribbon cartridge is installed in a machine, there is a loop of
ribbon that extends out of the cartridge and then goes around the tensioning
roller on the left side and then goes through the print head and then
re-enters the cartridge. A new, uninstalled ribbon cartridge stores that
loop of ribbon inside the cartridge in the space occupied by the white
strap. The white strap functions as a tensioning spring that keeps the
loop of ribbon from sliding out of the cartridge. The loop of ribbon is
wound up in the space and unwinds in an orderly fashion when pulled. I
have a new cartridge in front of me with the lid off and I'd like to send
a picture out but I can't find my camera. I'll get the pic out when the
camera re-surfaces. Good luck with your project.
