For those interested, Surplus Sales of NE seems to have a large assortment
of wire wound power resistors that could work (some with adjustable taps).
Don't like the price? Find a couple of cheaper ones at half or double
resistance in the list and wire accordingly. Still need to grab a rheostat
for fine tuning, however. With a little planning you could even make a
20/60mil unit by shorting out a series resistor with a toggle. -C
