Jeff,
Sometimes its a bear to get the stickers off.
I always start with my fingernail, then move on to 409 and lastly some solvent. I only use the solvent on metal parts not plastic.
If you are very careful you can use a razor blade scraper, but its easy to take some plastic or paint along with the sticker. Soak the sticker with 409 and then try the razor blade.
Some other GK's will have better ideas I am sure.

Subject: [GreenKeys] Removing old labels from ASR 33
I'm trying without much success to remove some old sticky backed labels
from both metal and plastic parts of an ASR 33 I'm working on.
I've been trying 'goo gone' this morning but these labels seem baked on
for several decades. They are barely budging. I'd be at the elbow grease
for 24 hours and still have a long way to go.
Anyone have some tips and tricks for a more effective removal procedure?
