Anybody want a HAL ST-8000A? It's in great, operating condition with
the manual and even HAL's DS-RTTY-WIN program that makes it really
useful for ham operation.

I picked this up off eBay about a year and a half ago and when I got it,
it was essentially New-In-The-Box. It arrived in HAL's original,
sealed, shipping box with all sealed foil wrap intact and even the
humidity indicators were still blue after around 10+ years in an NSA
warehouse somewhere before it (and others) were released to surplus.

The extremely hard to work with Canon style military connectors on the
back panel have been converted to DE-9 RS-232 connectors and the audio
in/audio out and PTT connectors have been converted to RCA female for
ease of interfacing to just about any rig out there. It works really
good with my computer to receive the ITTY internet broadcasts as well.

It will be packaged in the original shipping cartons. Asking $450 which
includes shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 states. It is not
eligible for export so international members please don't even ask.

Anyone interested please contact me off the list at w0eb at cox.net The
price IS negotiable, but only if the buyer agrees to pay postage which
will probably run around $75 to $80, so $450 shipped is a pretty good
price for what was originally a 9-10K piece of equipment when
intelligence services procured them back in the early 80's. I can email
pictures.

First "I'll take it" by date/time stamp on the email gets right of first
refusal. I take Cashier's Check, USPS money orders and PayPal.
