Hi all...
As suspected, Julien's M33 had seen service in Europe,
hence the 50hz mods...
I wud recommend the best 60hz motor replacement to be
P/N 181870 rated @ 33mhp...
As this is the most common motor in use in the M32/33,
pbly someone on Green keys can help Julien with this.
I don't have any spares or wud offer one up.
Best that the 33 not be used on 60hz AC, as it will
run hotter & faster...
It wud not likely print properly when connected to a standard
110bd signal, such as a PC or from a host computer...
However, in a local mode, wud pbly print ok, but will for
sure make the motor run hot...
Along with the motor, you wud also need a 181411 pinion and
a 181420 driven gear...
The existing fan & shroud will be fine, as the larger fan
will just provide extra cooling. For the 60hz motor, the shroud
is optional...
As for the UCC I.D. tag, it may be found in one of two places...
It may be attached to a vertical surface closest to the right
hand side of the UCC chassis,
or located about 4 to 5" in a rearwards direction from the
mode switch (Local/Line), facing up...It is a small
aluminum plate stamped with UCC type mounted on the top
surface of the UCC chassis plate...
As this UCC is crowded with cct boards, you may have
to dig a little to locate it...I am sure it is there...It
shouldn't require a major disassembly to locate it...
Hope this all helps!
Cheers!
