The terminal input when talking to the board in config mode should accept backspaces
though some terminal programs use weird conventions for backspace/delete. At any
rate it's not storing and replaying the backspaces, it's just letting you correct
your typing while entering the small chunk of stored data for playback. It's stored
as ASCII and converted to Baudot on replay.
