[GreenKeys] Teletype Model 43 Ribbon

Gab, why don't you hold on to the printer for a while. I did visit our local typewriter shop, but the retired guy that works part time there, the guy who knows about ribbons was on vacation for the Memorial holiday. I will see him this coming week and ask about a ribbon. I'll get back as soon as I know anything.

Right, I officially give up! I've tried creating
a new ribbon for my Teletype Model 43 by glueing
together the ends of a strip of quarter-inch ribbon.
Trouble is, the tension needed in the ribbon to
make it grip the one-way-only rollers firmly
enough to actually get pulled around by the
printing head is also more tension than can be
withstood by any glued bond I'm capable of making.

Anybody here want a working Teletype Model 43 for
just the price of the postage and packaging from
England? If not, it's heading for the dumpster,
which would be a shame.
