The "Iron Horse" perforator (aka "GPE" = Green Perforator Equipment) was
designed about 1913 and was produced for the next 50 years, making it
Teletype Corp's longest running product. Being solenoid driven, it
could punch tape as fast as you could type.
We have a M28 version in the AWA Museum. It is labeled "Model 34/35"
and also "LKPE." It is the size of a M28KSR, but inside is just a
motor, tape reel and tape punch. There is also a "vacuum cleaner" run by
the motor to suck up the chad.
Have fun,
Duncan
