[GreenKeys] Is this an ASR 33 serial number?

I asked this question before and got no response.  See the picture here:

The number 45680 shows on the base casting of the model 33 TU, right next to the carriage return spring under the right end of the carriage.  It's not the part number for the base casting -- my parts lists show that as 181100 or 183380 (Nov. 1964 edition).

Is this a serial number for the TU or something else?
