Hi all...

I really enjoyed Mike's posting re: Radio Shack...I am glad to hear of
few of them
still exist...Radio Shack sadly dissappeared from the Canadian scene
many years ago, to be replaced by "The Source" stores, (Owned &
operated by Bell Canada)...
They stock a few audio cable & connectors, but no components as such.
They sell mostly telephone, lap tops, tablets & accessories etc., completely
unlike their Radio Shack predecessors...

Up until a year or so ago, I often visited the Radio Shack store in
Massena,NY, just
a 20 minute drive from Cornwall, Ont. where I live...

They always seemed to have what I needed in components, and I cud always
check their on-line service & have an item shipped direct to that location...

Their staff were always courteous & helpful, but I also kept my technical
discussions to a minimum as the younger set were not well versed in the
older stuff which is understandable...

I do miss their stores, they also had one in Malone,NY, which also closed
at the same time...

While in Myrtle Beach last Winter, I tried to locate an open RS store, but
sadly they had all closed as well...

I have heard, they are going back on-line for components etc., but don't. know
if is up & running yet or not, must look into it...
