FAX among other things is shown in a 1937 industrial at:

The movie was made by Jam Handy of Detroit, who produced hundreds of
industrials mostly for the Chevrolet division of GM. They are mostly
well made although some are a bit funky to modern eyes. About the only
other movie I can remember which featured FAX is "Call Northside 777"
with Jimmy Stewart, a pretty good movie made at a time when Fox and
others were experimenting with elementary film verite.
When I was in grammar school in Detroit back when the dinosaurs
roamed, we were shown a couple of these industrial/educational films
about twice a month in a general assembly. It seems to me now that most
had a stock shot of a combine harvester floating through a wheat field
in them. There was one about broadcasting and record making with a cut
away of the NBC chimes machine in it. I can't find that one but would
love to see it again.
