Hi to all,

the Lorenz Lo15 is almost similar to its original sister until end of the
war and first series 1949
after WW2.
Very early versions before 1930 even still had a 3-row QWERTY keyboard
instead of the
German 4-row QWERTZ.
>From series 1950 Lorenz started continuously to improve the machine, mainly
with tape
attachments, until the last version Lo15C.
But unlike the US model 15, the German Lo15s were all fitted with governed
motors rather than syncronus
ones. Guess they did not rely to the accurate frequency of the mains power
network.

For those who are interested, I have uploaded some Lo15 photo series to my
cloud webspace.

Starting with photos of a US Army telegraph office at Frankfurt/Main around
1950.
Here you can see both machines side by side. The original TT model 15s can
be identified
beeing on their original metal desk rather than the German Lo15 beeing on
wooden desks.
The Lo15s (and a Siemens T34 strip printer) seem to be connected to the
public Telex network
as they use Telex control boxes with dial.

Next will be pictures of a Lozenz 15 (mark I)
This is the series until 1949

First improvents after the 1949s series were tape reader
and tape punch. This series started 1950:

Around 1955 was a change of the color from black to green:

End of the 1950s Lorenz did a total redesign in the tape attachments
to use them more convenient. It started with the Lo15B and
ended 1963 with the Lo15C. Lo15B and Lo15C are only different
in the colour of the main frame (Lo15B green, Lo15C grey) and
an improved receiver magnet for the C model.

All Lorenz Lo15s were available with different enclosures, table top metal,
table top
wood or floor stand wood.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.
