[GreenKeys] i-Telex in the US

Steve gave me an i-Telex demonstration a couple of weeks ago after his setup was close to be the way he likes it. Pretty cool, fascinating and impressive. I am not talking about his shack (that is an organized chaos) [😉] , I am talking about the i-Telex. If I wouldn't have so many projects on my heels right now, I probably would look deeper into it. Well, I guess it is just a matter of time.

Ok guys & gals, I'm having so much fun with this i-Telex system that I want to encourage all of you to at least consider adding it to the "toy chest" of your TTY playground.

Your cost to get involved is around $200.00. Additionally you need a 120VAC to dual 15-18VAC transformer to supply power to the i-Telex system. I think I paid about $17.00 to Mouser (or DigiKey maybe).

You get assigned a 'phone' number that can be used to contact you and you will have to port forward one port on your Internet router to the IP address assigned to your i-Telex system. Here in the States your number is usually your ZIP code as it's pretty unlikely anyone else in you ZIP code will have one of these systems. My number is 30083.

If you want to contact me off list that might be best to discuss what you need to do to get started.

Jeff Angus and I are the only ones here in the States to have the system at the moment. We do have Ken up in Canada but we need more. In Europe they have several dozen already. Australia has only one but a second on the way.

So let me hear from all of you!
