Thanks - I'll have to see about picking up some Bristol spline wrenches. The hand crank looks simple enough to fabricobble, just need to find a proper left-hand thread and a handle to fit. Did IBM have a bulletin describing their service tools? I've seen one for Teletypes floating around, would be useful to have the same.
