If the screw isn’t there, use a piece of wire to hold up the pawl.

Tie it to the rail across the back of the stuntbox. Teletype

made a special clip to disable pawl functions.

It was a rather simple setup and I recommend that others look into it and consider adding it to their bag of tricks they use to demo their TTY equipment.

 

There are a couple of issues I need to look into, like disabling the un-shift on space on my 28KSR (didn’t even realize my 28 even had that option implemented (guess I was just lucky I never got a space character in a sequence of figures before).  Anyone got a spare bulletin laying around that covers the un-shift on space function in the stunt box and a quick way to disable it?
