We've just gone through a related issue on the 33 I am working on.  If any characters start misprinting toward one margin, that means that the rear carriage rail is probably not level.  You need to go through the alignment procedure for that rail, with requires a set of feeler gauges and to reach the points in question, you need to remove the platten.
