The interface or UCC in the 5028 is actually described in the Teletype Bulletin 310B, Volume 1. Section 574-123-100TC, page 12. No mention of IBM. Its called "Call Control Unit for Computer Input/Output Sets". Seems to use lower voltages than the UCC-6 which is current loop. You dont see very many of these. 

On the previous page the UCC-6 is described and called "Call Control Unit for Private Wire Service". Of course its the common UCC-6 which is used in a 33 with lots of computers. 20 or 60 MA current loop interface. 

You can tell its a boring day here, rain and dismal and I am waiting on a Fed Ex delivery that needs a signature.
