Oh ok, so the auto-start relay is simply a switch in series with the AC
line to the TTY machine. IOW, it's in series with the front panel power
switch.

Suppose so, as there's nothing else in the machine to 'power' other than
the motor. The motor is the prime mover for the whole machine, no other
electrical or electronic systems are in use. Correct?

Is there a standard method of wiring in the relay (on the TTY side) using
the extant terminal strips? I'm fortunate enough to have received a machine
that's essentially 100% original, in terms of wiring..

Does any of this concern, or rely upon the pause / break switch above the
keyboard, to the left? Mine lacks the internal parts for that feature. They
may have been removed.
