I agree. The previous versions had electromechanical message number
indicators and a stepper switch to sequence things properly.

The message number data would be passed in parallel to the distributor
section of the associated TD to be inserted in the outgoing message.

Note that the UGT-4 is low-level equipment, not 60ma loop. You could
convert the signal.
