Also, don't buy any paper that doesn't look somewhat fresh. White always seems to be the freshest. If its yellow, it should be yellow, not brown. Lots of brittle paper around.

I'm not certain, I think the 35 uses the same ribbon though. The ribbon in the 33 is the most common ribbon ever and still produced.
It was a common typewriter ribbon.
You can get them at Staples still.
Since nobody at my local staples could tell me for certain that the "One In Stock" actually was in stock, I just ordered one off eBay for $5.95
shipped.
For paper, the rolls are still made, but only in white that I have found. 7.5" wide roll with the right size center hole diameter.
Searching "Teletype Paper" ought to turn it up - just be sure you check the dims, there's some goober on ebay selling "Teletype Rolls" of 4" width,
those are cash register rolls for dot matrix registers.
