[GreenKeys] 28 Tape Printer questions

Greetings.
I’m nearly finished reconditioning a 28 Tape Printer and have a few questions:
1. I need a bulb. I believe this is referred to as a two contact bayonet style socket (?). Does anyone know the bulb number? I’d like to get one and perhaps an extra. I measure 120V AC across the contacts.. There was a GE1314X in there that blew immediately. Somebody up the line somewhere must have replaced the bulb and never powered the unit up. When I searched the internet, the 1314X is rated for 12V so no wonder….
2. There is a relay in the LESU that trips at about 12V DC and sends power to the motor. It was wired to a terminal strip in the base. Any idea how this was used in service? I’ve bypassed it, but curious how it would have been energized in operation.
3. I had the LESU upside down while I was tracing the wiring trying to figure out why the motor would not turn on (that’s how I found the relay). In the upside down position the motor runs and that is all. When I turn the LESU upright, the motor still runs but now the unit chatters and spits out tape (nothing on the tape except the newly formed sprocket holes). The tape printer is not hooked up to a loop yet. Is this normal, or might something else (polar relay?) be bad?
Thanks for any advice.
Paul
