I have a couple of those machines, one of which seemed to work the last
time I tried it, and the other which has been known to work sometimes,
less often that not.
Sadly the manual that's all over the web is just a fragment of the
whole thing, so there's not much in the way of maintenance information.
Fair Radio sells a manual copy but it is for the later model that uses
dot matrix printing, and is quite different from the earlier model
that uses a type cylinder similar to the one on the MITE printer.
So far as I have been able to learn the Air Force does not keep an
archive of technical orders; when the equipment goes out of use the
manuals are tossed.
As I recall there are a lot of options for baud rate and character
structure. And it's probably MIL-STD-188 which is opposite polarity
to RS-232.
