Mine has been a side project as well, it is now residing in my GRC-142 Shelter, waiting for field day. I am surprised it is not discussed more, as it seems to be just about bulletproof, and very versatile.

I have the UGC-129(v)1. Its been a side project for a while. I converted the plug to a standard serial so its easier to experiment with.

Anyone else out there have any interest in the UGC-129 besides me? Anyone have experience with them in the military?
