Wow, Gil, That is cool. BTW, I still own my Maico 501. Should get it running one of these days! No excuses, as there is a fellow in Phoenix whom I worked with at ASM that makes repro parts for Maicos. He also has a 250 Elsinore!

Speaking of 73, it is not just a nice ham salutation. It is a very good number for a variety of reasons:
- In the 73rd episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper debuted his 73 tee shirt, citing that "The best number is 73. Why? 73 is the 21st prime number. Its mirror, 37, is the 12th and its mirror, 21, is the product of multiplying 7 and 3... and in binary 73 is a palindrome, 1001001, which backwards is 1001001." Also, Jim Parsons was born in 1973.

- In 1973, I was a freshman in high school in AZ, driving over London Bridge every day (not to be confused with Tower Bridge, as so many silly people do).

- But most importantly, in 1973, Honda debuted its first 2-stroke motocross bike, the CR250M Elsinore, a bike I found to be a design even more intoxicating than the radial-finned/coffin-tanked Maicos and others of the day. Before Honda went red/black, the early Elsinores were a very cool aluminum/green. Even Steve McQueen got into riding one. I had the smaller enduro MT125 for a while, which, even though the gearing was higher, and the pipe was up, was still oodles of fun.

Hello all,
This is another curiosity. Is there such a Teletype device as the "LABD 500"?
It is supposed to be an external answerback device that can be used with a 28
series KSR or ASR machine.
Just curious.
73!
Mark
