[GreenKeys] An elusive beastie- the LABD 500(?!)

I had a few of them years ago. Western Union used them quite a lot.

It’s the answerback assembly from a 35 with its own motor in a

small case (about the size of a shoebox). It uses the plastic answerback

drums used in 32, 33, and 35 machines. They come in 5 level and 8 level

versions. I’d expect gears for them are very rare.

Hello all,

This is another curiosity. Is there such a Teletype device as the "LABD 500"?

It is supposed to be an external answerback device that can be used with a 28

series KSR or ASR machine.

Just curious.

73!
