Hi all...

Many tks to all who responded re: parts suppliers of electronic items...

I learned much from this issue of obtaining parts...

In addition to my usual "Teletype" restoration stuff, I also restore
old communications receivers from the 50's thru the 80's...

Mostly work on the Japanese receivers, but a lot on Hallicrafters and
the likes...

I have worked thru most of my old parts stash, and still have a lot of
restorations to
complete...I vaguely remember a store in NYC that used to have tons of
stuff, but lost track of all the paper work etc, funny tho, I can recall the
guys name who I dealt with, but not the company...

They were able to supply a 5CG4 rectifier tube, (Used in early 60's Japan
built comm'ns receivers)...It took me months of searching, but this (NYC)
store came up with it...It was a very rare tube...Big price, but it made the
receiver completely original...
