[GreenKeys] Duplicating paper tape on Mylar tape?

Back on October 4th, Charles asked where he can get tapes duplicated on Mylar. I offered to give it a try. I think it worked. Here is a video of my machine duplicating the "Lunar Landing" focal program for the PDP-8
https://youtu.be/vaOLDFrCASw
I don't have a good way to do a "compare" of the tapes, so I can't be sure it worked 100%, but a quick eyeball of the first few feet looked ok.
The machine is designed for use with CNC machines. I have it connected to my PC through a terminal server (that takes various serial things around the shack and allows me to connect from anywhere (including wireless) using telnet to the terminal server box. Very convenient.
The machine is a DSI (data specialists inc or something). It can read at speeds up to 2400bps and punch at 75 bps. And in this case, it has a useful feature to simply duplicate the tape.
And for those of us looking for a good way to store tapes, I found this (perfect for 1" tape)...

They hold a fair amount of tape. Admittedly, Focal-69 for the PDP-8 paper tape did not fit, but the Mylar did because I could cinch it more, I guess. It has 2.33" inner diameter. According to western numerical supply, they have a tape container that is 2" they claim can store 40 feet of tape. So the freund container might hold 50 feet? Something like that.

PS. Tom T- sorry I couldn't invite you over for some tape duplication fun, but I had a few moments tonight to play with it.

I have a CNC-style reader/punch. It is a DSI NC-2400. I have posted the user manual here:
http://www.w2hx.com/x/DSI/
It seems to be designed to handle mylar, saying the punch has a life of 500,000 feet of tape using mylar.
Charles, contact me off list and we can discuss making copies for you. The machine has a function to simply duplicate a tape. It can read at 2400 bps and punch at 75 bps. I have some mylar as well.

Where can I get paper tapes for my 33 (8-level, 1") duplicated on Mylar? I can't punch them on the 33 itself, because it will rapidly wear out the punch block.
But there are a few tapes that I use frequently and Mylar is a lot more resistant to tearing, crinkling etc.
The longest one is less than 50 feet.
thanks
Charles
