[GreenKeys] OPTO 22 When you get a gift but alas ?

I have never used one of these OPTO 22 IAC5Q isolators  whatever   the  
thing is..
Had a fine  gift of giant run of 
HP Journals back  to  '65  
Fairchild   TP1-  many later  and app notes  starting  with #1..
Popular Electronics  form 65 to  70 something
 
and... 2 new in box OPTO 22 IAC5Q isolators  whatever  the   thing is..

guess it  would make a  fine  high voltage  60 mil in  to   logic  level 
out  with  optical isolation!?
(with nice little lights  that would flash... built in to  it even!)
 
too bad it is not  for   ttl in  and   hv    60 mil or  so out!!!!!  the  
price is scary  on these things  maybe i can  swap them  for a ready made  
solution! <<grin>>
 
what  else can we  use this  for?
