Amen, I personally know 3 vets that have been unemployable and nearly
homeless, and two of them are radiomen (marine corps and navy <yours
truly>), and there are many, many more out there.
30 years software experience, and hardware experience and after five years
with no unemployment and unemployed, I have finally been offered a position
as a food service worker at the local va hospital (and accepted).
By the way, add me to the list.

And after I get a few paychecks and a place to keep them, I am interested in
getting some model 28's and parts and manuals.

Subject: [GreenKeys] MORE: 2015 VETS ROLL
Thank you for sending this along, Norm. I am honored to be on the list.
However, let's also keep in mind that many vets right now are committing
suicide. More have lost their lives to PTSD suicide than in combat in Iraq.
How about all the homeless vets on the streets? There are 60,000 homeless
vets out there right now.
How many servicewomen have been raped while on duty? The military says about
19,000.
Do you know how many veteran's homes have been foreclosed on? Some GI's
families have been evicted while the soldier is on duty.
Be careful about platitudes! Let's all try and keep in mind what we can do
about the less fortunate veterans out there.
Cordially,
== AI2Q, Alex
