I was working at Xerox around 1983 or so.
They still had the "beast" down in the basement. Sigma-7 I think.
The thing that struck me was the use of a 43 bit word.
About the same time Xerox was dumping the remaining stock of
820 computers on their employees. 8" floppy drives, Whee! And the,
I think, Diablo daisy wheel printers.
