[GreenKeys] EBay at its worst

That might explain things like the "$1400 WWII Bell System teletype” and similar situations for products people find in old barns and attacks and have no idea what they are worth.

I personally dislike the “or reasonable offer” option. If a reasonable offer is $50, these overpriced sellers get insulted. If they ask $$700 for something, they think reasonable is $650.

I love it when someone starts a bid at $0.99 and lets the market set the value.

Yes, eBay can be a terrible place sometimes. But most times it is ok.

I spoke to someone who was selling an Analog computer, and it had a mildly excessive starting price and wasn’t getting any bids. He said he had just set it to what E-Bay suggested, so apparently it now suggests starting prices for Items. Any way he reduced the stating price and withing an hour he had 10 bids and he was back over his starting price….
