[GreenKeys] Alltronics Model A Telewriter Converter

Hello everyone.

I think I have come across a working or semi-working Alltronics Model A
Telewriter Converter unit. Like the Gonset Communicator series of radios it
has the cool "tuning eye" tube. A pair of pots below it adjust the "eye"
opening, for what I can assume to be "mark" and "space". If I'm correct,
this is circa mid '50's tech, and receive only, but I'd love to see if it
could work with my model 15 KSR.

There is a little information and a schematic on RTTY.com that describes
its availability as a kit or in assembled and tested form. Does anyone have
any information about this interesting little beast, of any sort? The tubes
it uses, aside from the 6AF6 "eye" tube, are common to what I've
encountered working on Hammond "tone wheel" organs, and Solovox units. So,
most of the discrete stuff is still available through antique radio parts
suppliers.

Any help is appreciated. This is a neat little unit, and appears very
well-built. I could imagine that "gooney eye" winking, and then receiving
W1AW or ITTY on the model 15...

73, y'all...
